Support & FAQ
Need a hand with LongShot? Email founder@amzwatch.xyz. For a bug report, include your iOS version, the app you were capturing, and what the stitched image looked like.
How do I take a scrolling screenshot?
First add Screen Recording to Control Center (Settings > Control Center). Then, in the app you want to capture: open Control Center, long-press the Screen Recording button, choose LongShot, and tap Start Broadcast. Scroll slowly and steadily, stop the broadcast from Control Center, and return to LongShot — the long image is stitched automatically and saved to Photos.
I don't see LongShot in the broadcast list
Open LongShot once after installing so iOS registers its broadcast extension, then try again. LongShot appears in the list shown after long-pressing the Screen Recording button in Control Center.
The image wasn't saved to Photos
LongShot needs permission to add photos. Check Settings > LongShot > Photos and allow access (add-only is enough). If a save ever fails, the result page says so and you can still save through the Share button.
The seams look off
Scrolling more slowly and evenly gives the stitcher the cleanest frames. Very fast flicks can skip content: captured screens that never appeared on screen cannot be recovered. Scrolling up into history (for example in chat apps) is fully supported.
Why is a chat input bar only in the image once?
That is by design. Bars that stay fixed while content scrolls — chat input fields, navigation bars — are detected across the capture and kept exactly once instead of being repeated on every screen.
Is there a length limit?
Very long captures produce very tall images; some apps (including Photos sharing flows and chat apps) impose their own limits when displaying or sending extremely tall pictures. For very long pages, capturing in two parts usually works best.
