Privacy Policy
LongShot is built around a simple rule: your captures never leave your device. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking SDKs.
Data collection
LongShot does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. We operate no server that receives your screenshots, recordings, or usage information.
Screen capture
When you start a LongShot broadcast, frames are delivered by iOS to the app's broadcast extension and stored temporarily in the app's private container on your device. They are used only to stitch your long image. Capture data is not uploaded anywhere. Temporary capture files are removed after import; stitched projects remain in the app's private storage until you delete them.
Photos permission
LongShot requests add-only Photos permission so it can save finished long images to your photo library. It does not need, and does not request, access to browse your existing photos for this. The optional screenshot-stitching feature only reads the specific images you pick in the system photo picker.
Web page capture
If you use the optional full-web-page feature, the app fetches only the URL you enter, directly from your device, in order to render the page into an image. No browsing history is stored or transmitted to us. Pages behind a login may render incompletely because the app cannot access your browser's login state.
Children
LongShot is a general-purpose utility and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
